WOODEN PICCOLO RESTORATION

I bought a mysterious wooden flute from TradeMe. I renewed the wood by removing the varnish and resealing it with beeswax, and restored the brass keys. As it didn't play, I rekeyed the flute with leather pads in an effort to get it working.
The case was cut from plywood using CNC cutters, assembled, glued, and hinges and the latch attached. The padding is a work in progress!

ACCORDION RESTORATIONS

I'm lucky enough to have two seperate vintage button accordions fall into my lap, ripe for restoration. Cosmetic restoration and functional repair are equally important for the final piece. Finding parts being impossible creates a unique challenge. See my blog for write ups!

VINTAGE JEWELLERY BOX RESTORATION

Found at Christchurch's Eco-Shop, this 80s mini dresser was in need of a little TLC. I removed the cracking varnish, cleaned the metal as best as possible, and used my favourite wood finish - beeswax and linseed oil.
The music box inside was sad and croaky, but a clean and oil made it good as new. A satisfying project.
